    Jay,

It is interesting to say the least to see all those people reaction with disbelief about the polluted water in WV. It is like everyone is incredulous that this happened and we weren’t informed. I have just been listening to the clip and the first thing I think of is FRACKING, FRACKING, lets get people thinking about FRACKING….

Why aren’t the same people as incredulous about the water contaminated by fracking? People want to make Freedom Industries financially liable for the cleanup, the testing and everything related to this leak, yet no one is clambering for the same reactions to the damages done by fracking. We have earthquakes, burning water and obviously methane is getting into people’s wells.

Please when you do these very valuable clips please bring up fracking too…. If you have people already outraged about polluted water remind them to get upset about fracking…

    Hi Jay:

This is Dave from St. Petersburg, FL

I am responding to your recent inclusion of the clip from Lee Camp, tilted You won’t believe Who’s teaching children to love fracking.

Lee Camp perhaps knew his rant was of questionable integrity and tipped us off when he said “Apparently, the Disney program shows children how great tracking is.” The key word is apparently because from this point on Lee Camp provides no evidence to support his claim.

Camp’s post on you tube that you shared was posted January 13th yet three days earlier the January 10th edition of The Hill reported that Disney withdrew from the pro-tracking elementary school tour.

The Disney statement of withdrawal read in part:

“The sole intent of the collaboration between Radio Disney and the nonprofit Rocking in Ohio educational initiative was to foster kids’ interest in science and technology. Having been inadvertently drawn into a debate that has no connection with this goal, Radio Disney has decided to withdraw from the few remaining installments of the program,”

Camp then goes on to attack Disney suggesting they want children to wish upon a star that they may one day become a white princess.

A little more fact checking and Lee Camp might have learned that not all Disney princesses are white. Jasmine, Pochahontas, Mulan, and Tiana are all examples of Disney princesses of different races.

Camp then goes on to say that he looked into it and found there were no Disney sing along programs for tidal, wind, or solar power.

Camp again didn’t seem to look very hard, because of he did he would have easily discovered the Disney Friends for Change program whose mission is to: provide young people with the information, tools, encouragement and inspiration to become stewards of change, to connect kids with nature, and it funds projects to help youth improve their community environments, including the greening 25 schools in the Los Angeles area alone.

Disney is a leader in sustainable tourism and has set ambitious goals back in 2008 including: Reducing net carbon emissions 50% by 2012 which they achieved and are now working to become net carbon zero.

    2. Reducing waste to land fill by 50% by 2013 which they achieved and are now working to be zero waste to land fill.

    3. Not allowing any new development without first demonstrating it will have a net positive impact on ecosystems. The $30 million investment in the Disney Wilderness preserve for example demonstrated this commitment in its model public private partnership to preserve wetlands.

It does not serve the progressive movement for Lee Camp to distort the truth in the same way we often accuse FOX News of doing.

It does not serve Best of the Left to post this misleading information. I would encourage you to do a better job of fact checking the stories first.

We need best of the Left to be known as having integrity as a voice for the Progressive movement.
