Great podcast, I must take issue with one thing though, the absence of discussion about the meat based diet and its HUGE effect on the issue. Seriously, if a bunch of people switched to veganism, we’d solve all these problems. In chris hayes’s piece on drought they listed all the healthy, whole, non processed foods lime grapes and almonds, but failed to mention the food that hands down drives the most water use by far: meat and diary. One pound of “beef” requires about 1500 gallons of water! Remember, you’re feeding that poor creature about 43 pounds of plant based food, and all of the water that requires, for every ONE pound of “beef” yielded.

Really annoyed at the anti-nuclear segment. Hartman spins the fallacy that all modern nuclear power plants will inevitably turn out like Fukushima or Chernobyl, when this is not the case. And then on top of that he’s rude and dismissive to his caller. I’m really tired of the left-wing circular firing squad, I really am.

Wow, I have been listening to your podcasts on iTunes and I feel hope at last. I call myself a bleeding heart liberal because I care about people, animals and the environment. (Not really in order since sometimes I really HATE some people…LOL) I listen regularly to MSNBC and have been dissatisfied lately. Like for a year or more. After I listened to your podcast that was commented on the real MSNBC I knew why…
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Now I am going to get involved!
