I enjoy the Best of the Left podcasts, but was unhappy to hear the host of the discussion on the 6/9 War on Drugs episode refer to out-dated ideas as “old man thinking” more than once. Would a liberal even think of saying “black thinking” or “woman thinking?” Ageism is a real issue in our society. Many workers are discriminated against on a daily basis due to this kind of prejudice – old people think poorly and base decisions on out-dated information. I expect liberal radio hosts to be more sensitive of their own bias and not to promote prejudice!
