A network is a fine idea and it’s something I’m considering proposing but I think there needs to be a step 2 that’s something bigger than just cross promotion. What could a network of progressive shows do, working together, to promote themselves outside of their own narrow outlets? If a network were to partner with outside media to spread the message wider, what would that look like? Any ideas are welcome!

Hey jay, love the show. I just want to say if you’re looking for a way to get the word out and garner support I don’t see why you don’t look to all the friends you mentioned. I am subscribed to The Young Turks on youtube, I listen to Jimmy Dore’s show on his site, catch David Packman on his site, etc etc…

But what if you were all on one “network” so to speak? What if there was a single site all the shows could be found on, with Best of the Left serving as a sort of flagship. In a way it already is. Your podcast has brought so many shows to listener’s attention. Imagine what you and all the other shows could do if you combined.

Sure, all the shows do it differently. Some are far more serious than others. But that’s what a network is all about: diversity. And Diversity is also what we on the left are all about. I dunno, just an idea :)

Tony, that’s not a real song. It’s just a free bit of audio that comes with GarageBand. It’s called “Half Moon Bay”.

Hi Jay, great show. I listen to it frequently and draw inspiration from it. From time to time, I hear this haunting guitar riff at the end of some of the chapters and I have never been able to track down the source. It appears in this episode at around 55:58. I wonder if you or someone else could identify it for me. TIA

Jay, this show fired me up!! I’m on board with helping to save our country. I’m convinced campaign finance reform is the best way of getting rid of the clowns mismanaging our government.
