I loved this episode. Thank you so much for making it. I wish this could be the topic for the next several episodes, because we need to start drilling this message into people’s heads. There are people who listen to your show, and they don’t think they’re part of the problem. They think they’re pretty liberal and compassionate, but there’s a part of them that isn’t being examined enough, and these people are reachable, that part of them is fixable. There will always be the Elliot Rogers types who may be unsaveable, but their are millions of bystander men who need to not be bystanders anymore when their buddy or their co-worker makes a “harmless” comment or talks about something a little questionable he did last night. In a sense, it’s like herd immunity. The more we can get the herd of people on the outside ring of society, the more protected the entire herd will be. Misogyny is not innate. It is taught and nurtured by the patriarchy. This is something we can actually fix.
I honestly don’t understand why Best of the Left isn’t the most popular and highly rated show to have ever existed.
